I bought shoes and had trouble getting fitted because of a swollen foot due to a knees replacement. Ed and his brother were 100% honorable. When it looked like I was not sure I if I had the right fit, Ed's brother promptly gave me a refund for two expensive pairs of shoes. They clearly wanted me to buy shoes only if i was certain the shoes fit. They were looking to the future and my buying shoes cc that fit o properly when my foot was not swollen.

Just received another pair of Alden Indy boots from the Shoemart as I ordered them online… If you register with them, you can shop for Alden seconds online and that’s what I did and purchased a beautiful looking pair of Indy’s in tobacco reverse chamois… I saved a lot of money on the boots and they look great… As usual Shoemart sent them right out via UPS… Excellent shoe store selling excellent shoes and boots… Love Alden Indy boots and have four pair… Nothing more comfortable to me than the Indy boots on the True balance last… 5 STARS ✨ Shoemart!

An excellent prices on very fine shoes. The fit of the shoes I purchased online is, as always, perfect with Alden shoes built on the Barrie last. I especially like the plantation rubber sole because it provides a softer feel for walking on hard surfaces. Although this pair was a "factory second," I cannot find any imperfection that explains to me the reason that it was so classified. My wife and I also recently visited the new location of The Shoe Mart "brick and mortar" store. The attention that Joe Zapatka gives his customers at The Shoe Mart is extremely helpful, and unlike most salespeople in department stores and discount shoe stores, he really knows how to fit shoes and takes the time to ensure that the fit is right for the customer. We purchased three pairs of shoes on this visit, and I am happy with all of them. I will continue to buy shoes online from The Shoe Mart and will visit the store as often as possible. Although I live about 200 miles away, it is worth the trip. I would recommend The Shoe Mart to anybody who recognizes that good shoes are an investment, not simply an expense season-to-season.

Highly recommend TheShoemart. I bought a pair of beautiful Alden boots here. Probably the best shoes I've ever owned. And then, a few years later, brought them in for polishing and new soles, which I'm happy to report was done very well, and quickly, and at a good price point. Excellent customer service. I'll definitely be coming back in the future!

Ordered a pair of 981 LHS loafers as they were sold out everywhere else in NYC. Thrilled with my experience with The Shoemart - my confirmation and shipping emails came within 2 hours of my order and my shoes arrived carefully packed within 2 business days. The box also included a hand signed inspection note, a thank you card and a shoe horn. Really can’t beat service like that these days! 10/10 experience and will be ordering again with these guys.

Really appreciated the incredible shoe selection and expert sizing assistance from Mr. Joe Zapatka. He found me a perfect-fitting pair of special edition Alden shell cordovan loafers. I’m hooked, and I’ll certainly be back for more.

I recommend The Shoe Mart for all of your shoe needs. Joe and Ed are reputable and friendly owners who are almost always available at their Norwalk location. I purchased multiple boots from this store and asked my questions on caring for my new Alden Indy’s. The 403s pictured are seconds and had darkened after some time left outside of the box. I called Joe and he called me back within 20 minutes and made it clear if the boots were fixable he’d fix them or if they weren’t worn, I could receive a full refund. No questions asked. I took a trip to the store and the photo is a testimony to their work. I was assisted by Ed who worked and (to my eyes) repaired these seconds that I’ll enjoy for years to come. Thank you Shoe Mart. I’ll be sure to stop at your store in the future and complete my Indy collection.

Great shop. Every time I’ve been to Shoemart in Westport, the experience has been very positive. Lance has always taken his time with me—never rushed, always helpful, and genuinely focused on finding the right pair rather than just making a sale. That's why on one occasion I walked away with three unexpected pairs, and on another I leave empty-handed. I like coming back.
